I’m happy with my game, by Kristian Martin

Hello there. Let me start this off by introducing myself: My name is Kristian and I live in the northern part of Germany and I am currently a full-time student of maths and economy at University Hamburg.

Poker wise I have always been trying to become as complete a player as I can, so after starting out playing only Hold'em, I quickly learned a lot of the stud and omaha games as well. So throughout the entire next year, now I'm a member of Team PokerStars Online, you will find me playing a little bit of everything: some Hold'em, some Omaha, some Hi/Lo, some tournaments and you might even find my trying my luck at the draw games.

I started the year off by trying to get my fixed limit game up to shape again, playing mainly the 5/10, 10/20 and 15/30 games. That went along quite well but just grinding the same games all the time isn't for me so for the last few days I have been playing a lot of Hyperturbo Sit and Go satellites to the big major tournaments at PokerStars - and topped that off with a very lucky deep run in the Sunday Million where I got 10th for more than $9,000.

So all in all I am very happy with my game right now and extremely proud to be able to represent PokerStars at the tables.

I also want to say thank you to PokerStars for giving me this unique opportunity as well as to all the nice supporters on the rail and on the tables that were very friendly and welcoming to me.

This is it for now, but you'll hear more from me in the future!

* Born in Germany, Kristian Martin started playing poker against friends when he was 18. He was then given $5 to deposit into his PokerStars account by an online training site and hasn't looked back since. Kristian started out playing on the micro stakes cash tables and developed his skills bit by bit. He was soon able to move up the levels and now plays successfully in the bigger games.
